Kate Stone, Lic.Ac., received a Bachelor's degree
from Syracuse University with a focus in Communications and
Psychology and a Master's degree from New England School of
Acupuncture where she holds a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine. Kate is licensed through the Massachusetts Board of
Registration in Medicine and certified through the National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. A
Kripalu yoga teacher for 6 years, Kate combines her love of yoga and
Chinese medicine into a practice called Meridian yoga, which she uses
therapeutically in conjunction with her acupuncture and Chinese
herbal treatments. Kate also has a particular interest in treating
emotional issues and has taken graduate courses at Lesley's Holistic
Counseling program, where she studied counseling based on a holistic
model, taking into account a person's mental, emotional and physical
health. Kate draws on all of these elements in her treatment
sessions in order to help the client achieve their optimum state of
health.
Orla Callahan
graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture, Newton, MA with
a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She completed
National Board Certification from the NCCAOM and is licensed by the
Massachusetts Board of Medicine.
Orla practices
a style of acupuncture known as Traditional Chinese Medicine. As well
as acupuncture and herbal medicine, Orla incorporates massage and
qigong into her treatment protocol based on presenting symptoms. Orla
is a general practitioner with a focus on stress management based on
the belief that stress is a common root cause of illness. Her
clinical experience includes the successful treatment of
pain - including low back pain, migraines, shin splints and sciatica.
Other areas of interest include respiratory dysfunction,
digestive issues, women's health, chronic fatigue and preventive
medicine.
Orla
is affiliated with Tufts Medical Institute where she works as an
assistant to Master Ramel Rones, martial artist, in a Research
Study on the effects of Tai Chi and Fibromyalgia under the project
management of Dr. ZhenZhen Wang. She also works as a
teaching assistant at the New England School of Acupuncture.
Maisy Karen Flynn born 3/16/10, 7lbs 13oz. She is a sweetie and loves to be held by her Mom or Dad all day. We are in love!
